New Nickelodeon

You know what really grinds my gears?

The new Nickelodeon shows

I know I am too old to really care about what they show on Nickelodeon but I can't help but be irked when I'm flipping through the channels and there is no "Rugrats" or "Doug." I mean I learned life lessons from "Clarrisa explains it all." And scared myself shitless when I watched "Are you afraid of the dark?" It's so sad to see such a fuck up of a human being have her very own show (Jamie Lynn Spears in "Zoey 101") being broadcast to young america!

They even have an anime show on there now, what happened to leaving the Dragon Ball Z type shows to the Cartoon Network??? And no wonder kids are so fat, there isn't any physical competition shows anymore like "Double-Dare" and "Guts". I have no faith in the generation behind us to lead when we're all invalids with the kind of televsion they are shown. Tisk tisk Nickelodeon, tisk tisk.

  1. While I agree wholeheartedly that Nick shows really have fallen off, it is painfully obvious that you are unaware that there is a Nickelodeon channel somewhere up in the 130's (at least in my Comcast network) that shows re-runs of the classics on a nightly basis. Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, DD are all there as well as some other favorites too. I hope this info helps and that you may now enjoy these re-runs as much as I currently do.

Also lose the word verification thing... lame.

  2. I know you're younger and didn't get to witness some of the best, so here's a list of ones you forgot (and these aren't on GAS): "Salute Your Shorts", "The Adventures of Pete and Pete", "Rocko's Modern Life", "Ren and Stimpy", "You Can't do That on Television", "Figure it out", "What would you do?", "Goosebumps" and the best of all time... "Wild & Crazy Kids"!

I too think the word verification is lame. I shouldn't have to read a word upside down, backwards, inside out and scrambled just to post a comment.

  4. I can't believe I missed "Animaniacs," another great! It was toward the end of the run though and the best scene ever from that show:

  5. How did a comment managed to get deleted? I can't believe that you deemed someone's comment too inappropriate. Fuego Fuegs you were on a roll until the Animaniacs... tough break.
